United in Summer: Imo, Owerri, and Nasfat communities celebrate joyful summer in Toronto

It is that time of year in most parts of Europe and America, when outdoor activities are activated because of its clement weather condition. It’s an exciting season of celebrations,  fun, and picnics. It’s summertime, the warmest season of the year. People look forward to this season with a lot of beautiful plans for families, friends, and colleagues.

The 2025 summer season is here, and Saturday, the 5th of July, witnessed some groups and communities in Nigeria turn up for their summer picnic. The Nasfat Muslim community, the Owerri zone community, and the Imo State community all in Toronto came out in style for their special summer picnics at the popular Downsview Park.

The various groups created serious fun sessions with group dances, special presentations, and musical groups, not forgetting a variety of sumptuous Nigerian delicacies on display.

It was a huge fun session for these Nigerians in Toronto, fathers, mothers, and even the children were not left, as all partied till dust.
