Funfair as Nigerians in Toronto converge under 9ja Connect

It’s was an atmosphere of conviviality, fun, cultural expose, connecting, and most importantly, the organizers succeeded in creating a mini Nigeria inside the heart of Toronto, Canada.

The leadership of 9ja Connect, a non-governmental organisation, aimed at connecting Nigerians in Canada, especially those residents in Toronto and its environs

The annual get-together is one of the events they employ towards achieving their objectives. This years’ edition was lit with Nigerians numbering over 500, gathering at Chalkfarm Park, Jane St. North York ON, behind Chalkfarm Apartments, for a most memorable time.

The gathering was a convergence of the highest number of Nigerians under one space, and every one present had a fun filled experience; the men, women, even the children were not left out, they were there in their numbers and danced all day to the exhilarating vibes from the sounds of DJ Phill and visiting DJ Sholly (one of Naija’s finest DJs)

All kinds of Nigerian delicacies were available with more than enough to eat and drink.

In the end, the President of the 9ja Connect team
EWAENOSA DAVID OSAGIE-IGIEHON and Evans Dubre both took turns to thank those who graced the event for finding time to attend this year’s edition of what has become an annual ritual

Below are some photo clips from the event that took place on the 27th of July 2024
